Finding the Most Suitable Travel Coverage

Travel insurance comparison is a method to be able to identify which insurance companies can give you the right value for your money. You can get premiums over the other depending on the type of coverage you want and the kind of insurance you need from a lot of different companies. Thus, it can be a bit of a headache to read every fine print of these companies’s policy and the worst possible thing that you can do is to choose some company just because you got tired of reading the policy and listening to its agents.

Considering travel insurance comparison matrices, these usually include items such as emergencies and accidents, theft and loss of valuables, medical assistance and evacuation, risks of flight cancellations or delays, and the cost of attaining the insurance policy. There are different types of policies that cover these and there are some which come with other contingencies. Not only do you have to know your insurance need in this case but your budget as well.

Here are the different types of travel holiday insurance including medical travel, single trip or multitrip travel, business travel, and the comprehensive type. You can differentiate them from each other through their specifications. Although there are companies who are willing to customize their insurance plans for you, this means that the prices will go up too.

When you travel and you suddenly get sick, medical travel insurance will cover your medical and dental needs including the medicine and hospital bills. Having this is crucial especially when you fall ill during a trip to some remote area where a medical facility is miles away causing you to miss your scheduled trip back. When it comes to medical insurance, you will be covered for the hospital or clinic that you chose not to mention the kind of medical access or equipment that you wanted to be used.

It is single trip insurance that is valid for only one vacation travel. Other than being comprehensive and covers most of the risk factors mentioned, it is good for one use but you can renew it. In case that you are planning for that long awaited dream vacation then this is the insurance you need.

For travel insurance comparison, the next level is the multitrip or annual type. You have an extension of the singletrip here where the coverage is good for one year no matter how often you take trips. You can have it renewed upon expiry but the premium you will have to pay increases every year to accommodate financial fluctuations such as inflation rate and tax.

Necessary for people who take shorter trips is business travel insurance. Lasting from three to four days is a short trip. Considerations that are important here are the cruise or flight concerns because any delays or cancellations can be detrimental to the travel schedule.

Costing the most are comprehensive policies when it comes to the inputs in the travel insurance comparison table. Sometimes, these have provisions that you do not need and these can be catered by a specific type of insurance policy. After you are able to consider all your options first, you can then sign on to a policy.

Study the different types of insurance available and then go on to the next step which is an apple is to apple comparison. To find the suitable policy, you must give a higher rank to your preferred medical coverage or any other risk factor. Find two of the best options to discuss with your agent and scrap those that did not meet your requirement.

Deciding about insurance can be easier if you make use of travel insurance comparison. You need not worry about things when you have insurance. This way, you can enjoy your much needed vacation in the most safe and convenient way.

Why Now is the Best Time to Travel Around the World

When I first went away in 2006, people always wished they could do what I was doing. For some people it is easy to just jump ship and travel. Others just need a gentle nudge. For me, all it took was a trip to Thailand before I was quitting my job and telling my friends I was going to travel. For others it is a lot harder. They are more tied down, more afraid, more uncertain. They want to do it but, instead of the nudge I needed, they need a full on push. So here is my push. Here are seven good reasons to travel around the world:

There’s a recession. With the world economy in a tailspin and companies slashing jobs, there is a lot of economic uncertainty. Avoid it all. Go travel. If you quit your job, sell your stuff and travel, you won’t have to worry about it. In fact, prices are dropping as the tourist industry tries harder to get people to go overseas. Come back when the economy is better.

It’s better than working. Working is work. Sitting behind a desk for eight hours, commuting to work, worrying about bosses and reports is not our idea of a good time. Let’s face it, between worrying about next month’s budget or sitting on a beach in Asia, everyone would choose the beach. So why are you behind your desk?

It’s not as expensive as you think. Everyone thinks that traveling is expensive but it’s not. You can travel quiet cheaply by flying low cost airlines, staying in hostels, or with locals who offer you their home. The locals don’t spend a fortune in their own city.

You learn about yourself. Travel helps you figure out what makes you you and what you really like or dislike. Forced to fend for yourself, it is do or die. You have to adapt to your surroundings, meet other people, make your own decisions, and plan your life.

You meet a lot of people. There is not a day that doesn’t go by where you don’t meet people doing the same thing you are. You’ll meet locals who will take you around and open their homes and city to you. What more can you ask for in life than meeting wonderful people and creating a network of friends that encompasses the globe. You’ll meet so many people you’ll wish you had some time to yourself.

You learn about other cultures. The world is a big place and globalization has made it much more complex and interconnected. You’ll never begin to understand all the other players in the world or why people do what they do by sitting at home. Traveling will make other cultures and people more than just a face on the news.

You’ll make everyone jealous. Let’s face it- everyone wants to travel the world but few people do. Do it and make everyone at home jealous of you, your stories, and your photos. While they work all day, you explore the world. They’ll regret asking you how your day was after you tell them what you did.

Adventure Travel to Kenya – Discover Kenya’s Best Kept Secrets

How would like adventure travel to Kenya, to learn some of Kenya’s best kept secrets? How about checking into Hemingway’s, a luxury hotel on the Indian Ocean, or spending some time in the same area that Elsa was released into the wild by Joy Adamson? You can enjoy these, and more, with luxury adventure travel to Kenya, land of the Luo, Kalenjin, Turkana and the famous Maasai warrior race, as the name is correctly spelled although we shall use the more popular western spelling of Masai.

The capital is Nairobi, and that would be a good place to start. There are many types of hotel in Nairobi, but if you can, try to book into one of the few boutique hotels that accommodate only a few guests, twelve being a good number. For that you will have to book yourself a luxury adventure vacation, with personal service offering vacation planning from just yourself and your partner.

That is a better way to enjoy Kenya’s secrets, rather than traveling in a large group of 40 or more as most people do. If you can find a tour company that offers this level of personal service, then your vacation can be tailored to suit your own timetable and needs, and not those of the majority, or even in some cases the minority!

Nairobi has a lot offer somebody seeking adventure travel to Kenya, and you don’t have to travel to unknown places to discover some of Kenya’s best kept secrets. Take Karen Blixen’s house, for example, the author of ‘Out of Africa’, made into an Oscar winning movie, or the Carnivore restaurant, where you can dine on some exotic game. You should also check out Masai crafts at the Utamanduni Craft center and visit the giraffes at the Giraffe Center.

However, it is the game reserves that most people visit Kenya to see, and that adventure travelers to Kenya are particularly interested in, so take a plane ride over the Meru National Park and land near Elsa’s Kopje – a rocky outcrop on Mughwangi Hill in the Meru Park, where Elsa was released by Joy and George Adamson back in 1958.

Why not spend some time in the park and check out the elephants, leopards and cheetahs, and of course the lions. Unfortunately the big game, the lions in particular, are in grave danger in Nairobi Park due to the action of humans, so take advantage of the opportunity to see them in the wild while you can. Although most people prefer to go on guided safaris, others prefer fishing and nature walks, or even just to lie by the pool. It’s your vacation so indulge yourself.

You must then visit the Masai Mara Nature Reserve, where the big game animals are less under threat from human activity. Try to head for the Cottar 1920 Mari Safari Camp, where the 22,000 acre private concession houses only 12 guests, but it’s well worth it, and no luxury adventure travel to Kenya should miss a visit to Cottars. Calvin Cottar is one of the best guides in the country, and will take you on a game drive in a 4WD or even a more traditional ox cart. It is an advantage that the camp is not part of the reserve, because you can go on night drives and guided walking tours, which would not otherwise be permitted.

Malinda is another part of Kenya you must not miss: situated on the Indian Ocean Malinda offers Hemingway’s a luxury hotel that offers the very best personal service. Use it as a base for a trip to Lamu Island, which used to be a base for the slave trade, and on which the only means of travel other than foot is by donkey. Try a dip in the ocean or simply relax by the pool, contemplating what you have seen

The type of luxury you can experience on these trips is unbelievably high, and adventure travel to Kenya is not all safaris and living rough. You can also do it in style, but make sure that your price is all-inclusive since the extras for the flights and safari trips can be high. A good luxury vacation company will offer you all-inclusive deals that will work out cheaper in the long run than trying to keep your initial costs low and pay your own way. You will either end up paying more, or missing out on a lot, which would be a shame after traveling so far.

Try to get a personal deal, with just the two of you traveling, rather than being part of a large group, and make sure that your travel is commensurate with the luxury you are seeking: a minimum of business class flights, and first class rail and road travel where it is involved. Your accommodation should be the best available, and the small personal hotels are often the best.

Achieve all that, and there are no reasons why your luxury adventure travel to Kenya should not provide you with the vacation of your dreams, the memories of which will last you a lifetime.

Don’t Have Time to Travel to Your Favourite Destination This Year? Think Again

Believe it or not, our life revolves around travel everyday! When we think of the word “travel,” we would normally think about exotic vacations, airplanes, road trips, our dream travel destinations, all inclusive hotels on a tropical island, you name it! Travelling is simply moving from point A to point B. This includes but not limited to travelling to work, travelling to school or even travelling to a destinations a few blocks away from our home.

Humans and animals travel for various reasons. During the winter time, some birds such as the Canadian geese, travel south to far as Mexico to escape the cold (humans do that too!), we as humans travel to work in order to make ends meet and the list can go on forever. Not to mention, we travel to other places on this planet to temporarily escape our chaotic environments, then we come back to it rejuvenated. Sometimes we even travel permanently to other destinations for various reasons such as seeking a “better life,” reuniting with family and taking up a new job offer.

Just about everyone has their own dream travel destination. Many people in developing countries dream about travelling to the USA to taste the American dream; many people from developed cold countries dream about travelling to tropical countries such as Jamaica to taste at least two weeks of sunshine and many others from various regions around the globe dream about exploring other countries that are known to have extraordinary sceneries.

Now unfortunately, many of us don’t get a chance to fulfill our travel dreams in our life time for various reasons such as lack of finances, can’t get the time off from work or just simply having to fulfill other commitments. These common excuses mentioned here are all understandable; however, the truth is you can still fulfill your travel dreams if you work hard at it. The question I have for you is, “How important are these travel dreams to you?” If your dream travel destination doesn’t have any form of priority in your life, don’t expect to be going anywhere soon! Yes, I would certainly encourage you to be realistic with your finances and resources at the same time. If you really want to go on that trip that dreamed about all your life, make it happen!

Start planning ahead with your family about the family travel plans. If you plan at least 1-2 years in advance, you can make it happen (depending on where you’re travelling). For example, if you’re planning an all inclusive trip to the Caribbean for a family of four, and save at least $200 US or more a month, you’ll be amaze to see how much you’ll end up by the end of the year!

You may say “I can’t afford this” but think about all the unnecessary things that you’re purchasing and add up how much you can be saving and who knows, you and your family can be able to fulfill that travel dream in less than a year! By saving up from now, you can pay for that vacation with cash without going in to debt if you start saving now. Yes, it’s going to take some sacrifice but at the end of the day, it’s all worth it. It’s good to also plan ahead with your boss when you want to take time off from work. If you own your own business, plan ahead of time to set aside some days off from work.

Did you know that there are some benefits about travelling? Education may be the first benefit. Yes, travelling can also be a learning experience. A person from a developed country who travels to a developing country may learn how to complain less and appreciate life more in his own developed country. A person from a developing country who travels to a developed country will learn that he can have a “better life” in another environment though this may not be true all the time.

Travelling to other nations may give you the opportunity to discover developmental and business opportunities. If you’re an entrepreneur or investor who is on a vacation in another country, you may learn about some investment opportunities that may come with great rewards.

Travelling may be good times to get know your friends and family much better. Not to mention again, it’s one of the best opportunities to relax and escape the stressful world for a while. I enjoy travelling myself and I also enjoy encourage people to travel other places, and even locally. My travelling experience has taught me that there is much more to life than I thought before. In other words, my view about life has changed for the better.

Happy New Year to you! I hope that you, your family or friends, would be able to fulfill the travel dreams that you have in mind during this year. Remember, your travelling journey starts now by implementing the plans. All the best!
